Professional Biography
Luisyana Gamboa joined the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition in 2024 as the Director of Community Outreach. Prior to this role, she worked as a national Advisor for food security programming in the non-profit sector. Luisyana uses her experience to target the root causes of hunger and food waste through education and outreach.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from Universidad Anahuac Mayab, a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Systems from the University of Kentucky and serves as an active member of the Healthy Food Community of Practice.
